Position Details: ERP (Supply Chain) Corporate Data Management Specialist

Primary Focus:

This position will have direct interaction with all of the client's business entities as it pertains to the management of pertinent data/information in the global Oracle E-Business system platform; with emphasis on the creation and management of the global Item Master Catalog. This includes definition of parameters and master data standards, creation of control metrics and reports, and tracking performance and trends. Focus on system data integrity and global standardization to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness are key deliverables of the role.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing the global Item Master Catalog and mapping the Item Master Catalog to the Supplier Catalog
  • Ensure item catalogs are up to date, aligned with established data integrity standards and accurately reflect item requirements
  • Work closely with Supply Chain Management to ensure centralization and standardization of the master data
  • Day-to-day maintenance of the Supplier Master Catalog with emphasis on prudent decision making and in-depth knowledge of catalog requirements with potential implications to Tax (incorrect tax reporting), Accounts Payable (payment to incorrect address), and Purchasing (payment terms, freight terms, etc.) if data is not maintained properly
  • Define and facilitate implementation of best practice parameters to achieve the targets for the data management of the client's new supplier addition request, item additions, and compliance to government and industry regulations
  • Ability to operate in a matrix organization role across multiple integrated supply sources offering operational recommendations to achieve optimal success
  • Receive requirements from the business and create/update current or future master data to align with best practice processes and transfer knowledge to the key users in the business
  • Develop standard metric reports that will allow business functions to standardize their policies and procedures using best practice techniques
  • Timely and accurate review, approval, and communication of all master data request prior to system entry
  • Drive cleansing and master data rationalization efforts
  • Manage the system user request/authorization process 
Required Training & Experience
  • 3 + years experience in a similar role/environment or related discipline
  • Bachelors Degree from accredited college/university in Business, Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of a Supply Chain and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Oracle EBS 
  • Self-starter

  • Customer service oriented
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong computer skills are essential (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Experience working with Oracle or similar ERP system i.e. SAP
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
  • Spanish language abilities would be considered an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Office Environment, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, M-F, (overtime as required)
